    Translation: we’re about 90% professional wallflower. We love quietly observing and letting your day unfold exactly as it’s meant to. The belly laughs, the nervous jitters, the messy-beautiful chaos, and those secret “we actually did it” glances? That’s our happy place.

    The other 10%? A little gentle editorial direction. Because we have a serious crush on beautiful light, killer table settings, and all those thoughtful little details you've planned. When the moment calls for it, we’ll gently nudge you into a patch of gorgeous light or a great backdrop, just to make sure your styling gets the love it deserves.

    No stiff posing. No awkward over-directing. Just honest, effortless photographs where real moments and beautiful design get to hang out together.

    The Way We Work

    We make wedding photographs for people who care deeply about good design, real connection, and having a genuinely great time while they’re at it.

  • That’s such a good question! And honestly, that’s exactly why we think it’s so important to get to know our couples before the wedding. No two couples are the same, so why would we photograph them the same way?

    We’re mostly documentary photographers, so around 90–95% of what we do is candid, fly-on-the-wall, real-moment goodness, with a little sprinkle of editorial direction when it feels right. But even within that approach, every couple and every wedding is different.

    Before the wedding, we usually ask our couples to share their moodboards/Pinterest boards, outfits and all those little visual details they’ve chosen. It gives us a peek into what they’re drawn to and helps us build a bit of a visual map in our heads of what feels like them.

    Then, once we’re actually there, we let the day take over. The light. The energy. The people. The way everyone interacts. Every wedding has its own rhythm, and we’re constantly reading the room and deciding when to step in with a little direction and when to simply step back and let the moment happen.

    So while we might have an idea of the visual world our couples love, we’re never trying to force the day into a particular style. We’re there to notice what’s already happening and photograph it in a way that feels natural to them.

    And that’s usually where the good stuff happens.

  • Absolutely. We know no two weddings are the same! Your wedding day goes by in a flash, and the last thing we want is for you to feel rushed. If hanging out and actually enjoying a drink with your guests is your top priority, we’ll build a timeline that makes that happen. By the end of our first chat, you’ll walk away with a clear game plan and some pro tips to keep your day entirely stress-free.

  • We’re an all-or-nothing kind of crew! We only offer continuous, consecutive coverage, which means no split shifts. Once you book us, we are officially off the market for the rest of the day. We block out our entire schedule so you get our undivided attention, zero scheduling stress, and absolutely no rushing off to another shoot.

  • This is such a great question! To be totally honest, we are actually quite quiet. We are not the type to come in and loudly direct the whole room. Being introverts is our secret weapon on your wedding day, and here is why:

    • Zero Interruptions: We want you focused on each other, not on us. By stepping back and staying quiet, we let your natural chemistry take center stage.

    • Total Focus: Being quiet allows us to lock in. We are constantly hunting for the best light, the coolest angles, and the tiny magic moments that happen in a split second.

    • Super Chill Vibes: Nobody wants to feel like they are stuck on a movie set all day! Our goal is to blend in and be professionally invisible so you can just relax and hang out.

    Do not worry at all! We promise we will never leave you feeling lost. The second you feel awkward or wonder where to put your hands, we will jump in with the perfect amount of gentle guidance. Our goal is to make you feel amazing and capture photos that look exactly like you.

  • Discounting our work means we would have to compromise on the time we spend making your memories perfect, and that is a line we just will not cross.


  • Have cameras, will travel! For weddings just outside the Melbourne CBD (25km+), a small travel fee of $2.5/km applies.

    Taking the party interstate or flying across the globe? Drop us a line and we will put together a custom travel quote for your big adventure.

  • Best decision ever! The short answer is it entirely depends on how much of that dreamy, vintage goodness you want in your final gallery.

    • Mini Celebrations (4 to 6 hours): We suggest grabbing 3 to 5 rolls.

    • The Main Event (8 to 12 hours): We recommend about 10 to 15 rolls to cover the whole party!

PHASE 2.

WE’VE MET

  • Booking us is an absolute breeze! Step one: shoot us a very enthusiastic "We are IN!" email. Step two: we will bounce right back with your custom quote and contract. Step three: sign on the dotted line and pop down your deposit. Boom, your date is officially locked in!

  • Good news, there is no complicated math here! We split everything into two simple payments: a 30% deposit locks in your date, and the final balance is due one month before the big day arrives.

    When it comes to the goods, you will get a batch of photo sneak peeks within a week to tide you over! The full gallery takes about 6 to 8 weeks, landing straight in your inbox via a private link.

  • Sit back and relax! About six weeks before you walk down the aisle, we will reach out to schedule a catch up so we can finalise all the exciting details.

  • We are a massive yes on this! Scheduling an engagement shoot about a month before your wedding is the ultimate practice run. Think of it as a fun one-hour hangout where you get comfortable in front of the lens and completely shake out those photo jitters before the big day arrives.

  • Respectfully, we are going to pass on that! We approach your day like visual journalists. Following a strict checklist actually kills the spontaneity and natural emotion, which is exactly where the real magic hides. We want to capture your celebration exactly as it naturally unfolds!

    The one big exception? We absolutely need a list for your formal family portraits. Pro tip: pick your loudest, most organised friend to play crowd-controller for those!

  • Here is our tried-and-true formula for a stress-free morning:

    • For the Grooms: We usually recommend setting aside about one hour for photos, toast-making, and wrestling with bowties.

    • For the Brides: If you have a squad of four or more, we suggest allowing two full hours after everyone is completely finished with hair and makeup. If you have a smaller crew or are flying solo, one and a half hours post-glam gives us plenty of time to capture all the magic!

  • This is an excellent question! Because life loves to throw curveballs, we built our entire business model around this exact scenario. While we are a team of two, we intentionally cap our calendar at one wedding per day. (or two if we are a team of three.) That means a built-in backup is always ready to roll! If one of us catches a bug, another team member steps right in without missing a beat.

    In the wildly unlikely event that all three of us are completely out of commission, we have an exclusive circle of incredibly talented, trusted photographer friends on speed dial to save the day. All of this is officially locked into our contract for your peace of mind. In the absolute worst-case scenario where a brilliant replacement cannot be found, you would be refunded in full.

PHASE 3.

THE GRAND FINALE

  • Booking us is an absolute breeze! Step one: shoot us a very enthusiastic "We are IN!" email. Step two: we will bounce right back with your custom quote and contract. Step three: sign on the dotted line and pop down your deposit. Boom, your date is officially locked in!

  • Here is when all the magic lands in your inbox:

    • Film photos: 1 to 2 weeks

    • Digital Photos: 6 to 8 weeks

    • Super 8 Film: 12 to 14 weeks

    These timeframes are our tried-and-true estimates! While we do our best to stick to them, occasionally things take a tiny bit longer, but we promise to keep you in the loop. Just a quick heads-up on the Super 8 film: it travels to an amazing external lab out of state to get developed, so we are occasionally at the mercy of the postal service. Sometimes they seem to take the scenic route, we will let you know once they’re ready.

  • Honestly, sending raw photos would be like serving an unbaked cake! The ingredients are great, but it is just not ready for the party yet. We take huge pride in our signature editing style, which means we only deliver the final, polished masterpieces.

  • That all depends on how long you have us hanging out with you! As a rule of thumb, you can expect around 80 to 100 fully edited images per hour of coverage. We will load them all into a gorgeous private gallery for you to download, share, and completely obsess over.

  • You bet! Isla and Roy hand-edit every single image in your gallery with love. We even throw in some gorgeous black and white copies alongside the color versions for those ultra-cinematic vibes. Once they are perfect, your final collection will fly straight to your inbox via a private link.

  • We know you are dying to see your photos, and honestly, who can blame you? If the suspense is killing you, our VIP Rush Service is here to save the day.

    For $350, we will push your wedding to the very front of our editing queue and deliver your beautifully edited gallery within the same week. It is the ultimate treat for anyone with a tight deadline, an upcoming party, or zero patience!
