We are Emotions and Math, a Melbourne-based collective of photographers and filmmakers drawn to the quiet, in-between moments.

Twice named among Australia’s 23 Best Wedding Photographers and now honoured by the contemporary wedding editorial publication THE WED as one of the 30 Best Wedding Photographers in the World, we continue a journey shaped by the stories entrusted to us across continents.

With an ethereal, soft, and muted approach, we blend documentary storytelling with an editorial eye, capturing love as it unfolds, unfiltered and true. We’re drawn to the moments that slip by unnoticed but hold all the weight of the day: a brush of a hand, the way light moves through lace, the second before a laugh escapes. That’s where the magic lives, and it’s what shapes every frame we create.

Over the years, this work has taken us across continents, from the sunlit shores of Australia to the winding vineyard roads of Italy, through Florence, Lake Como, Sicily, and Sorrento, the alpine peaks of Switzerland to the electric streets of Hong Kong. We’ve felt the ocean air in Bali, chased golden light in Malaysia, Singapore, and New Zealand, and wandered through New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Paris, and Antwerp, always searching for the beauty in the fleeting.
